The 6th Annual National Stair Climb for Fallen Firefighters will be held at the Belmont Raceway on 15 September 2019. For the second year in a row, Team Rubicon - a disaster response organization bringing the skills and experience of military veterans and first responders to those who need our help - will be climbing alongside hundreds of others to remember the sacrifice of those members of the fire service who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.
Each climber pays tribute to a firefighter by climbing 2200 steps, the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. Individual tributes not only remember the sacrifice of a firefighter, but symbolically completes his or her heroic journey to save others. Together, we will bring these members to the top floor!
The funds we are raising will help the FDNY Counseling Services Unit and the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation honor America's fallen heroes and assist their dear ones in whatever ways necessary, and contribute to the development of safety programs that help see to it that "everybody goes home."
Thank you very much for helping us to honor our heroes!
