The 4th Annual National Stair Climb for Fallen Firefighters is an opportunity for firefighters and community members to climb together in honor of all firefighters who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the effort to preserve life and property. It will be held at Belmont Park on 28 October 2018.
Each climber pays tribute to a firefighter by climbing 2200 steps - the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center - in his or her memory. A climber's individual tribute not only commemorates the sacrifice of a fallen firefighter, but brings them "to the top floor." Through firefighter and community participation we can ensure that all firefighters are remembered.
The funds we are raising will help the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and the FDNY Counseling Services Unit to show proper devotion to fallen heroes of the American Fire Service, assist their families and co-workers, and help to develop new programs that better ensure that everybody goes home!
We are grateful for the opportunity to climb alongside so many people who appreciate what our fallen brothers and sisters have done for us.
We'll see you on the top floor!
