2018 Columbus 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

IDEX Fire & Safety

The Columbus 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is a way to honor and remember the FDNY firefighters, police, and EMS who selflessly gave their lives so that others might live on 9-11-2001. Each participant pays tribute to an FDNY firefighter, police officer, or EMS by climbing the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center.

“Doing the 9-11 stair climb was a humbling event for myself, seeing all the families there of current first responders in the Columbus area and their support of the climbers. Climbing up 105 flights of stairs in shorts and a t-shirt was challenging enough, but just imagining doing that with gear, hoses, and equipment really seems impossible, yet it was done on 9-11. It’s a great cause and hopefully translates to money and support for the families who lost loved ones on that day, and is something I will continue to participate in the future.” Jeff Zook
