September 11, 2001 is a day I'll never forget. I was a Sophomore in High School and was taking the ISTEP when the first plane hit Tower 1. My passion for activism was igniated on this dark day in our nation's history. I watched as a country came together in solidarity, embraced one another's differences, and rebuilt. The brave men and women who responded on that day are true heroes.
On April 28th, I will be participating in the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Lucas Oil Stadium in Downtown Indianapolis by climbing the equivalent of 110 stories in memory of the 343 firefighters killed at the World Trade Center. As I count down to the big day, I am asking you to support my commitment to raise funds so that our fallen heroes and the sacrifice they made on 9/11 will never be forgotten. After surpassing my original goal of $150, I have raised my goal to $1,500. I am truly overwhelmed by the support I've received thus far. Together, we can make a difference and help the fallen families.
